Ellie didn’t much care for what everybody else had lost. Right now, a lot like her newest companion, she wasn’t very compassionate. At least not visibly anyway. Compassion meant caring and caring just made everything infinitely more complicated so she continued to scream and shout at him. Eventually, after his sudden retaliation, she fell silent. One minute, her voice echoed violently off the tiled walls and the next, nothing at all but the steady drip of a leaky tap. She sat completely still, regarding him with slightly narrowed eyes. It was a fair argument and there was no margin of doubt in her mind that he had a point. And for that exact reason, she chose to ignore it.
Her hand rose and fell with the motion of his shoulder and her other lifted to brush a stubborn strand of hair from her cheek. Her thumb continued to run smoothly across the fabric of his shirt and her smile grew slightly wider. Of all the people she’d met since the outbreak, Marvin was definitely one of the more interesting ones and she was pretty sure she could have a lot of fun with him. She kept her stare locked on his slightly narrowed eyes and without realising, bit her lower lip as she listened to him call her a cry baby. Finely shaped brows twitched upwards just once. ”Maybe I am, maybe I’m not,” she told him. ”But you’ll never know…” Finally, she removed her hand from his shoulder but only to brush her index finger lightly under his chin her smile becoming increasingly flirtatious again. Afterwards, she dropped her hands into her lap and hooking her left foot behind her ankle, she studied his face and figure again. She’d quickly come to the conclusion that he was extremely nice to look at.
And then the charmer was in the room again, his voice drawing her distracted eyes back to his face and away from her imagination. A small laugh escaped her as he mentioned manners. ”Manners are overrated,” she said simply. She really didn’t want to tell him her name but she wasn’t overly sure why. She studied him cautiously for a moment before she decided that she could take this opportunity to be anybody she wanted to be. She sighed when he brought up how it was only fair as he’d introduced himself. ”Fine. But you can’t laugh,” she warned, pointing her finger at him and looking dead serious. She paused. ”… Destiny…” she cringed, like she hated the name and was awaiting some cruel remark from him. She caught his wide eyed glance and smiled. ”Relax it’s nothing. Fancy a drink?” she asked.

GONNA KEEP IT MOVIN' WILD.... I'M A REAL WILD CHILD.
His attitude toward the girl was rapidly changing. That was not unusual for Marvin. He thrived on attention, especially when it was in a flirtatious manner. The muscles in his body started to ease as she teased him, a curvaceous smile evident on his features as she brushed a finger under his chin. Still, he found it odd how she changed her tune so quickly. Marvin just assumed she was hormonal. He had that rather sexist view that all girls were the same - a behaviour change similar to the climbs and falls of a roller coaster. "Perhaps...." he eventually responded softly, head making a subtle tilt to one side. Similarly he found the girl to look at. She was a sight for sore eyes, for sure and Marvin would never let that go without having a bit of fun.
'Manners are overrated'. At that comment he grinned. She was speaking his own language. He had picked up a hint of rebellion in the girl, and he was sucked into that, even though he vocalised he was pretty disgusted by it. Marvin was not really. Now quiet he kept he shifted his gaze between her eyes as he was anticipating an answer. The sigh only signaled she was giving in. Marvin then flickered his eyelids with surprise. Why would he laugh? Perhaps he did find juvenile or rude fun in things that weren't meant to be funny, though he couldn't imagine how a name would be funny. "Alright. I won't laugh," he pledged, not entirely meaning it. "Come on, what is it?" he egged her on with a little impatience.
Destiny
Marvin looked surprised. He pressed his lips together to stifle the sudden notion to laugh. It was a bit of a colouful, fairy-tale like name. "Um, okay. Nice to meet you, Destiny," Marvin tried to stick to formality, but he couldn't. His expression was crumbling into one of amusement. He brushed the back of his finger under his nose, fidgeting to conceal the laugh. Marvin was mean, but he was not that mean to laugh in her face because of her name. He tried to hide it as best as he could. "I'm not laughing, I swear," Marvin declared, glancing away to blatantly show he was lying. He was not about to apologise for laughing. He would rather lie about it than apologise.
'Destiny' was not the only 'D' word that grabbed his attention. He looked to her attentively, like a puppy dog showing interest to a treat in their master's hand. "Drink? I would, thanks," Marvin said appreciatively, a grin reflecting that attitude. To Marvin 'drink' meant alcohol, and he sure hoped it was. Though he shouldn't judge it was booze she had stashed away. The boy had a drop of it himself, though he was running short and had to acquire it somewhere. His interest was piqued. "If its booze you got, where did you get it? I know you can get it in the Safe Lands but there is an economy system in place. I'm not a fan of that," Marvin fidgeted with the collar of his shirt.

She watched his face, his expression changing with the effort of not laughing and she arched a brow at him and folded her arms across her chest once again as he told her he wasn’t laughing, her own expression was one of an unimpressed nature. ”Uh-huh. Of course you’re not,” she said dryly. After a second or two, she shrugged. It wasn’t hard to fake that she didn’t really care that he was laughing at the name. It wasn’t her real name, so there was no real reason for her to take offence. Plus, she couldn’t help but think that he was the fool for believing it. ”You think my name’s funny. So what… You wouldn’t be the first. Probably won’t be the last. I’m not even the one that drew the short straw. I have four sisters and only one of them got a name that sucked less than mine,” she told him. She rested her palms against her thighs and leant forward a little, explaining. ”Rhapsody drew the shortest straw. Her name was the only one left after the rest of us. I guess I’m just lucky I wasn’t the youngest,” she laughed. She wondered if he would recognise the names she’d given him so far and if he did, would he piece the rest together and understand the reference?
She smiled when he confirmed that he wouldn’t mind a drink. She moved her hands from her thighs and planted them against the counter on either side of her legs, sliding off it and heading over to the cubicle that she had emerged from earlier. She’d been about to ask him if there was anything in particular that he wanted, but he was already speaking again and interrupting would just be rude. She glanced at him over her shoulder with a teasing look. ”Wouldn’t you like to know,” she stated, before continuing into the cubicle and proceeding to start her climb. She first planted a booted foot on the already broken toilet seat and using her other foot on the toilet roll holder, hoisted herself up, gripping the top of the cubicle’s wall and swinging her legs over, first the right and then the left. She looked down at Marvin. ”Anything in particular you fancy?” She finally asked him before disappearing out of sight, dropping down into the locked cubicle and landing with a feline grace that had evaded her the first time around.

GONNA KEEP IT MOVIN' WILD.... I'M A REAL WILD CHILD.
Marvin thought for a moment that it was cruel to laugh at another's name, but he just had to give in. Her name was ridiculous to his ears., but he swore he had heard worse. He felt surprise when he learned of her four sisters. Marvin could not imagine having four. One sister was quiet enough for him. "God, do I even want to know what their names are?" Marvin asked rhetorically, though the intrigue was still there. He then placed his hand over one eye and barked out a laugh. "Ha! Poor kid," he chuckled, dropping his hand away. Marvin did not get the reference. He was too busy dwelling on the girls' name 'Destiny' alone.
Boy, would he like to know where she got the stash from. Getting a hold of alcohol was some feat these days. There was the option in obtaining it the 'fair' way back in the Safe Lands, but Marvin didn't want to play fair. He just wanted what he could get. After ensuring that his axe was resting safely on the counter, he dipped his fingers into his pockets, his thumbs hanging out and drumming the fabric of his jeans. Upper body leaned over to take a peek where the girl was going. He shadowed her steps to the door of the cubicle, and stopped just at the door. "Girl you are full of surprises," he cooed delightfully the moment she put her foot in the toilet roll holder. His delight heightened as she climbed right over to the next cubicle. Marvin could not help but stare at every fluid movement of her body as she climbed over. Her backside got the most attention. "There is a lot I fancy right now..." he answered her question, voice waving with a tease. That line could be interpreted in a variety of ways. He grinned to himself for a second, until she spoke to him again. "What you got?" He asked 'Destiny' as he hovered outside the locked door.
Marvin did think about taking a peek over the edge by standing on the toilet, but he was too embarrassed to even try. Embarrassed, yes, though he wouldn't dare admit it. In reality, he thought he was too short to even peek over the top properly. Marvin was vertically challenged and he didn't deny it, though he avoided anything that would distinguish that. "You seem to be a smart girl, Destiny," he resounded from outside her locked cubicle. He felt a cringe when speaking her name, and vowed himself not to mention her name again out loud. He was not sure why he was saying stuff like this to her - possibly to make conversation. He was taking a liking to the girl for a number of reasons. One, she was attractive. Two, she appeared to be flirting with him as well as challenging him, and Marvin thrived on that. Last but not least, she had alcohol. Alright she did get his blood boiling, though the pros were starting to really outweigh the cons.

She couldn’t help but find herself smiling slightly as he laughed at the ridiculousness of her ‘name’. She supposed that it would have been pretty funny had she actually been called Destiny, though she had to admit that she was certainly glad she hadn’t been. Nope, she was happy with her nice, normal name. Her smile grew as he asked his question. She didn’t take it as a rhetorical one however and she answered. ”Well, there’s Harmony. She’s the eldest, twenty-six. Bit snobbish if I’m completely honest. She would’ve had a field day with you. After her was Melody. Mel was the luckiest one, she at least got a name you can shorten to something decent. A year older than me and she’s one hell of a prude. Never had a boyfriend. Never been kissed. Won’t let anyone touch her. That kind of thing. The mere mention of sex and she looks like she’s about to vomit.” She rolled her eyes as she traced her finger through a small puddle on the counter before continuing. ”Then there’s little old me, the runt of the litter. Followed by Symphony. She was all loved up before the shit hit the fan with all this outbreak stuff. She was the first to move out, we all thought she’d be the first to get married and have perfect little babies. She and Rhapsody are twins and are the youngest.” At the mention of perfect babies, Ellie pulled a face as if the idea of having children were the most awful thing in the world. She felt she should clarify on the origin of the names so she continued. ”My parents were huge fans of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.” She sighed. ”Lucky us.
She kept her eyes on the top of the cubicle wall as she pushed herself up, concentrating on catching the edge. The last thing she wanted was to end up with a foot in the toilet. That would be disgusting and embarrassing and she wasn’t about to give him something real to laugh at her for. Not if she could help it. She hoisted herself up with ease pausing briefly as he spoke again, implying things he might fancy. As she glanced down at him, she flashed him a flirtatious smile. ”Mmm… I’ll bet there is…” Landing on the other side of the cubicle, she unzipped her bag and the sudden room for expansion cause the multiple bottles within to clink together. As his What you got? reached her ears she smiled at the contents in her bag. ”What haven’t I got.” Came her response. She’s managed to raid a good percentage of the bar before she’d been interrupted, so the pair of them were pretty spoiled for choice right now. She lifted the bag off of the cistern cover and she clutched it to her chest as she used her free hand to slide back the lock. Fingers curled around the edge of the door and before she’d opened it he had spoken again. ”Yeah?” she asked, as she pulled the door back and moved around it. She headed back to the sink again and placed the bag down near the axe. ”What makes you say that?”

GONNA KEEP IT MOVIN' WILD.... I'M A REAL WILD CHILD.
As the girl rattled off each of her siblings names Marvin fought back the urge to laugh. His lips were fastened tight to avoid doing such a thing, and it was probably obvious. Normally, Marvin could laugh, but for some odd reason, he was keeping it back as long as he could. These were 'names', unfortunate ones at that. In truth, as he listened, Marvin was not paying much attention to her sibling's back stories. He was more or less concentrating on keeping back this laugh. It was like trying to keep back vomiting - it was difficult and more or less it had to happen at one point. Then it came. Marvin laughed. He didn't giggle or chuckle, he barked out a loud, boisterous laugh. Too late now. His body bent over slightly as he laughed and it took him a few moments to compose himself. "Sorry, but you have one heck of a weird family," he spoke behind heavy chuckles. He wasn't really sorry for laughing. 'Sorry' was just the natural part of speech. "Your sisters sound like they have porn star names." Once he had calmed himself a bit, he continued. "Well, I can tell you this much. At least you don't have a twin sister like I do. Or maybe you do? What she called? Mellifluous? Sugar? Sweetie-Pie?" Again Marvin let out that loud rhythmic laugh of his. He was having too much fun poking fun at this girl. It was probably mean, but he didn't care. He was getting a high off of it.
Watching 'Destiny' climb over the cubicle was eye candy for him, no doubt. Of course Marvin had to drop the subtle hint that he was liking what he could see. "Uh huh, damn right there is," he cooed out softly, his voice barely audible but probably just loud enough for the girl to hear. He was a male. He could not help but notice an attractive young woman. Even more so, this was Marvin. The male sexual instinct in this boy was above 'normal'. It was like he had some mutated hormone that urged him to breed more with females, much more than the average man. Maybe. He was just like that by nature. It was probably safe to say that 'Density' was a new target of his. He liked what he saw and he loved the challenges she fired at him.
Lips curled with satisfaction. He was liking what she was saying. "I like what you are saying, girl," he voiced his thoughts. "-But for drinks, I drink anything," Marvin clarified. As she came out of the cubicle he shifted out of the way to allow her access to the sink. He really didn't care about his axe anymore. He was hoping that she wouldn't get her paws on it again, but was actually the least of his concerns just now. "Dunno," he said vaguely with a shrug of his shoulders. "You managed to stash away a heap of booze and keep it safe. Its pretty impressive," he said. "And anyway, why do girls need reasons for compliments, huh?" Marvin asked rhetorically. He was almost sucking up to her now, but there were a growing number of reasons why. Marvin jumped up on the sink counter, sitting on it. He could feel a small puddle of water soak into his jeans, but he didn't care. He kept his gaze locked on Destiny. "So, you are one of these lone wolves that just does whatever she wants out here?" He asked, puffing out his chest.

She folded her arms and watched Marvin as he began to laugh, a single brow twitched skyward subtly. She waited until he had managed to regain composure, the slightest hint of a smile on her face as he spoke. Then he mentioned a twin and her back straightened almost immediately as he rattled off names, clearly poking fun at her made up family. Any traces of a smile completely vanished and she stared straight into his eyes, expression one hundred per cent serious. She said only one word. ”Cookie.” She waited for his reaction, expecting nothing more than another bout of hysterical laughter.
Ellie had already disappeared into the locked cubicle as his ”damn right,” comment reached her ears. She found herself smiling, shaking her head a little. This guy really was something and rest assured his was not the only attraction in the room. Nice face, confident, not afraid to bite back and arrogant to an extent. Most people she knew found arrogance to be a repulsive quality, but not her. When mixed in with the right traits, she thrived on it. In fact, it’s probably safe to say that to her this was all some sort of foreplay and she certainly had no issues with being a target of his. No issues at all.
As he moved out of the way for her, she flashed him a quick smile as she half shuffled and half waddled over to the sink, clutching the bag tightly. It was heavier than she had remembered in her earlier dash for cover but she managed to heave it on to the counter without anything dropping out. She thought that maybe she’d taken too much if she was struggling with the bag, but she dismissed that thought almost immediately. There was no such thing as too much. She began emptying the contents of the large pack, first pulling out an iPod, a packet of rolling tobacco, filters, papers, three lighters and a bottle of paracetamol, stacking them on the counter and getting them out of the way before unloading numerous bottles of various drinks. Two bottles of vodka, a bottle of whiskey, six bottles of corona, as she set each bottle down, she lined them up against the wall. She shrugged as he asked why girls needed reasons for compliments. She guessed her had a point. ”No idea,” she told him as she pulled out another bottle of corona and three bottles of tequila – for her of course – half a bottle of white wine, two bottles of red, a bottle of sambucca and most of a bottle of Jack Daniels. She’d got herself a pretty good haul here and she made a note that she’d have to come back to this place the next time she needed to do a spot of ‘shopping’.
With the majority of the bottles now lining the bathroom wall, she put two of the bottles of tequila back in the bag and pushed it into the corner, taking the lid off of the last one and taking a nice long drink from it, turning to lean against the counter. She wasn’t particularly fussy when it came to the alcohol she drank, but tequila was by far one of her favourites. She chewed on her bottom lip for a moment before she answered his question. ”Guess you could say that,” she told him. ”Gets boring being on your own sometimes but at least I don’t have anyone weighing me down and yammering on in my ear about what’s right and wrong.” It was a simple fact. Company was hard to come by these days unless you were a part of that safe place, but she didn’t have to look out for anyone but herself which made living significantly easier. The way she saw it, it was still all swings and roundabouts really. She held the bottle of tequila by the neck and offered it out to Marvin but before he even had the chance to take it from her, she’d pulled it away again. ”Hold on… What’s in it for me?” she asked.

GONNA KEEP IT MOVIN' WILD.... I'M A REAL WILD CHILD.
He was relishing poking so much fun at the brunette's family. How can Marvin not do that? It was in his blood to be rude and unthinking about others. The burst of laughter calmed and he rubbed the tip of his nose. Finally looking up, he locked eye contact with the girl's, seeing that she was being entirely solemn about this conversation. Eyebrow twitched in disbelief. "Cookie? Seriously....there is no way you have a family like that," Marvin doubted her. "Now I think you are just taking the piss. Am I right?" He was starting to believe that was made up. Perhaps not the whole family issue, but the 'Cookie' part he did not believe. It was too ridiculous to fall for it. He started to think that maybe he should take everything with a pinch of salt. Maybe. Marvin was becoming suspicious about what the girl was telling him, although he still had firm belief that she was called 'Destiny'.
He moved out of the way as the girl heaved her stash of goodies on the counter. Marvin leaned the heel of his hand onto the edge of the sink counter, watching attentively as she fished out her stash of supplies. "Nice to see you have the essentials. You smoke?" He asked. Marvin smoked. Though smoking was not a necessity for him. He was a 'social' smoker that liked to light up when others were having a draw. In the past he had been guilty of smoking 'wacky tobacky' with a bunch of friends. Marvin looked on as she continued to pull them out, like a magician pulling a rabbit from a hat. "Woah, how much you got in there? Never knew you had that much!" Marvin spoke with awe. The bag did look heavy for a reason. She had a hefty amount crammed in there. "Destiny has a bar in her bag," he spoke smoothly, a hint of a cheeky smile curling on his lips as he now focused his attention on her.
Marvin leaned on the counter using the underside of his forearm. "You're right about that. I hate being told what to do. Doing your own thing is the way to go," Marvin spoke, shifting his focus the mangled body of the zombie he had killed before. It was still there. Marvin had almost forgotten about it, however every so often he caught a whiff of its putrid body. Brown eyes flicked back to her. "But I have family in the Safe Lands. If I leave they will seriously hunt me down or send out a search party. That would be embarrassing. Plus they'd think I was dead," his shoulders shrugged nonchalantly. Marvin didn't exactly see eye-to-eye with his folks and his sister, though he did feel reluctance to just leave them behind. He couldn't leave the Safe Lands. He thrived on adventure and risks, but the Safe Lands was his new home. His taste for excitement was satiated through trips outside the barriers, like now.
Awesome, he was offering a drink to him. He reached his hand out, but he didn't get it. As she pulled the offer away he felt his bubble burst. "What's in it for you? Oh come on," he moaned, letting his arms drop at his sides in protest. "You know I don't have anything I can give you..." Though surprisingly Marvin started to check himself over to see what he had on him. He patted his own body, the unfastened buckles on his leather jacket clinking as he did so. Hands patted his pockets. Nothing of value. He didn't lift much other than his axe and his hat. Destiny was not getting either of those. He would not survive without them both. "I have nothing. Can you not be generous to me?" The once irritated look on his expression melted away, and Marvin was beaming at her with 'innocence', his eyes wider than before. He was trying to be cute, or look cute rather, to win her over. God knows he might fail, but it was worth a try. Perhaps if he turned his charm on for a bit. "Please?" He spoke lightly.

She tugged at a loose thread on her shorts. ”Of course I don’t have a sister called Cookie,” she told him. ”But to be honest I wouldn’t put it past my parents if they ever decided, God forbid, to have any more kids.” For a moment, she wondered what it would be like to have a twin and quickly concluded that it would be extremely irritating. She didn’t really know why she felt that way, she just did. Shrugging, she spoke again. ”But yeah,” she continued, sliding off of the sink counter. ”No twin. One of me is enough.” She smiled. One of her was definitely enough. God help any world that could ever be graced with two of her. God help it indeed.
As she busied herself with the contents of her bag, she only glanced at him briefly when he asked if she was a smoker. Surely the fact that she had some form of cigarettes was evidence enough that she was. She didn’t bring that up though. Instead, she just nodded and made an assumption, based on the query, that he was too. ”Mhmm,” she nodded, pushing the tobacco, papers and filters across the surface to him. ”Help yourself,” she told him before turning her attention back to the bag. She continued lining the bottles up along the back wall and simply said, ”Enough,” in response to his awestruck question, followed closely with a short laugh at the ’bar in a bag’ comment. She didn’t look up at him again until she caught his movement out of the corner of her eye. A teasing smile spread across her features as she saw him glancing at the body on the floor. ”What’s the matter?” she asked, her voice just as teasing as that smile of hers. ”Scared she might still jump up and eat you? Or are you just hoping she will?” She remembered the ‘conversation’ that she had overheard when Marvin has first entered the toilets and her smile faded to a more solemn expression. ”I mean, I know you two were close but I’m pretty sure it’s over.” Though her expression had changed, that taunting tone was still present in her voice as she gave his outstretched arm a ‘sympathetic’ squeeze. And then the topic was back on family. She released him arm and pulled out the last two bottles, setting them down a little more forcefully than she had intended. ”You’re lucky,” she muttered, thinking again about her arrival in London and the sense of abandonment she had felt as her brother drove away. She suddenly felt very bitter again and it showed. At least your family would care enough to look.”
The corners of her mouth twitched upward slightly at the sound of him whining and even more so as he began to pat himself over. Blue eyes strayed to his hat and she took another long swig of tequila before looking at his face again. Such a pretty face. [/b] Brow furrowed a little at the mention of being generous and then his whole approach to the situation seemed to change. Marvin ‘the Charmer’ Sully was back in the room. She returned his smile and took a slow sip from the bottle, gaze hilding his as she lowered it once more. Please? For a moment, the girl regarded him thoughtfully. Surely she could let him off just this once? Especially after such a delightful display of manners, right? Eventually, after a small stretch of silence, she held the bottle out for him and waited for him to reach out before pulling it away again. Of course not! Eyes strayed to the garment atop his head once more and a playful smile appeared. ”Nice hat,” she said, looking back at his face. She figured that a hat for some alcohol was a more than faire trade. She held the bottle by it’s neck, resting it lazily against her thigh as she awaited his response. Truth was, she would probably give him some of her alcohol regardless, but this was way more fun.[/center]

GONNA KEEP IT MOVIN' WILD.... I'M A REAL WILD CHILD.
So he was right. She had no twin. "Thought so!" Marvin boasted. It just sounded too ridiculous for it to be true. It sounded like names of characters from a children's TV show, a horribly corny one. He barked out a colouful laugh. "You're right about that. One of you is enough by far." Marvin said boldly. A snide remark was usually spoken loud and proud. This time it was no different. Marvin was far from caring if he had insulted her. He certainly was not the type that mumbled insults in the hope of the other not being able to catch it. He just voiced it.
It was polite of her to offer him a cigarette, even though he had to make one up himself. "Thanks," he said with appreciation. He might not have sounded grateful, but he was always grateful for a freebie. Marvin hadn't rolled a cigarette for a while, and took a few moments to piece one together. Thankfully he remembered. He placed it between his lips. It bobbed as he spoke. "Got a light?" He asked. When it was finally lit, he relished each draw of the cigarette. Marvin was quiet for a few seconds.
Gaze snapped back to her. Then, one eyebrow raised smoothly and slowly. Marvin didn't like being called 'scared' for he thought himself to be far from it. Casually he flicked some ash into the nearest sink. "Pfft, scared, come on!" he quoted her sarcastically, followed by an obvious roll of his eyes. Marvin's free hand adjusted his hat slightly. "As if I would be scared of that ugly bitch," he spat, clearly bad mouthing the zombie he had slain. He took another draw of his smoke. Still, the way he talked of zombies was degrading. They were no longer human beings. They didn't deserve the same recognition. Why should they anyway? The female zombie wanted to munch him for dinner, like many others before her. "It's over alright. She wanted me though," he slowed his voice a little, eyebrows bouncing up and down, making that perverted suggestion. Oh Marvin....
Marvin was never the one for begging. He didn't feel submissive at all. Actually, he was hoping that a single puppy dog look would melt the girl enough for her to give in. Unfortunately not. The mention of his hat captured his full attention. Eyes held a very solid gaze. "No." Marvin spoke his answer straight off the bat. "No way. You are not getting my hat. My hat is my baby. I would never give this up," he spoke adamantly, irritation creating a rough edge to his voice. "I wouldn't even let you wear it for a while. I don't trust you," he continued, making an assumption that she might want to wear it for a bit. Still, he would not grant her that wish. The hat was not leaving his head. Last time Marvin had let a girl borrow his hat, she ran off with it, and used it as blackmail against him, or held at ransom, depending on how you looked at it. Nothing could have pissed him off more. Marvin was going to make sure history was not about to repeat itself.
He shifted himself and casually leaned against the sink counter, propping his elbows on the surface. Body was facing forward, but his head was turned to the side, eyeing the girl up and down. His lips curved up one side, eyes softly narrowing, slightly hidden under the subtle shadow cast from the brim of his hat. A long stream of smoke slowly billowed out form his lips. It was as if he was trying to flirt in a non verbal way. In a sense, Marvin was. He was turning his charm on. "My hat isn't as interesting as me," he spoke in a velvety voice. Maybe he can wriggle himself out of it.
