Seth shook his head at Melissa. "I'm fine!" he said with a sunny grin. Every time he made it out of something like that alive, it felt like a triumph, something that needed to be celebrated. Needless to say, it didn't take much to give the Seth the idea that he needed to go to the pub for a bit of rest and relaxation. That was definitely what he would be doing once he'd gotten home and cleaned himself up a bit. "Are you okay?" Seth said after a moment, returning the question that Melissa had posed to him. She was, by the looks of things, and Seth had asked out of habit.

Two eyebrows raised without him intending for them to when Baden began to hurry off. The other man in the group was certainly a quirky character, and Seth didn't know what to make of him. He had an inkling that he might never know, either. Seth frowned to himself, a fleeting expression, and studied his calloused hands in the dim light of night. There were a few streets lights down on the ground. They flickered, orange, miserable, and incredibly dim. He wondered when they would stop working. His eyes found Cecilia and he smiled at her. "All right?" asked the Scavenger.

Seth found himself incredibly happy that they were going back home now. He couldn't wait to be surrounded by the comforts of the Safe Lands once more. He made his way down to the ground and got his own torch out of his pocket. He flicked it on. The light wasn't bright enough to immediately attract the undead that were shambling around a few feet away. He began to walk, not wanting to linger in one spot for too long. The breaths that left his body looked like mist.

Not that she really wanted to spend more time with him, he seemed intense and too much of a worry-wart for her to be around for too long. But standing up there now, having to go back to the Safelands with Melissa made her very envious that Baden was able to stay on the outsides. A simple solution would be for Cecilia to just leave and go back to her old home, if it wasn’t overrun already. But as much as Cecilia tried to deny it, she wouldn’t last that long out there by herself anymore. She was good at surviving but with the hoards of zombies growing, and the supply of food in stores dwindling she would starve to death or become a meal in a few months. Cecilia picked up two of the bags and groaned slightly under the weight before following the other two down the ladder and back to the street. It was oddly quiet between them, maybe they were both exhausted or scared of making noise. Cecilia however, had an undeniable bounce in her step. That was the first time in weeks that she felt her heart beating, and her blood moving. It felt good to be in danger, though she probably wouldn’t feel this way if someone had gotten hurt. But no one had. They were fine, and they got what they came for. The trio trotted back to their home in silence, everything in the city seemed unpleasantly still. Still enough that when Seth clicked on the flashlight Cecilia jumped and almost dropped the bags. She straightened up, and prayed that the other two didn’t notice the redhead’s lack of composure. Cecilia’s thoughts, inspite of almost being killed a few minutes ago, meandered from cheerful thing, to cheerful thing. She wondered what she would have for dinner, and if it was going to be cold again tomorrow, and planning her outfit accordingly.
